Join us at the Botanic Park stage for a Welcome to Country and a beautiful firelight ceremony as darkness falls on the first night of the solstice celebrations. Expect quiet and calm with acoustic music\, a meaningful Welcome to Country\, and a firelight ceremony to mark the start of the weekend. Dress warmly – it will be cold but it will be worth it. \nThere is no fixed seating – bring a fold-up chair or picnic blanket. The park has low lighting so a torch or headlamp is recommended. Dress warmly. \nParking is limited at the park\, but Mansfield town centre is an easy walk away. We’d encourage you to stroll in as the evening begins.

DESCRIPTION:The Community Bank Mansfield & District Lantern Parade is the heart of the festival – a slow\, glowing procession that winds through the streets of Mansfield before spilling into the festival space. It’s the moment the whole weekend builds toward\, and it never gets old. \nJOIN THE PARADE \nAnyone can walk in the parade. All you need is a lantern. \nWhether you’ve made one at one of our workshops\, crafted something at home or picked up a glow product on the night – if you’ve got a light\, you’ve got a place in the procession. Register below so we can manage the parade safely and make sure everything runs smoothly. \nA couple of things to remember: \n\nOpen flames are not permitted in the parade\nAll children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult\nThe route takes around 25 minutes to walk and covers a mix of grass\, asphalt and concrete paths
